Toxic Free Diet Plan Post Festivals

Hello All ,

Hope you all spend a jubilant festive time as its a break from our "new normal" routine of "work from home". Its a month since we all are enjoying the different festivals starting from Navratri, Durga Puja, Diwali, Eid, Karwa chauth, Bhai dooj, Chhat puja and so on. And festivals means palette full of mouth-watering dishes which mostly comprises - all tasty spicy foods, junk foods and creamy foods and the consequence is gaining weight and increasing calories. So its high time to detox and getting back to the normal regime of healthy life.

So here comes a full diet plan to detoxify the body and keeping yourself healthy and glowing.

First I will start with a DOs and DON'T list:

HERBAL DRINK
HERBAL DRINK
1. Occasionally drink Luke warm water because it helps in weight loss and also helps in the process of detoxification

2. Replace Sugar with honey 

3. Big no to sweets and junk foods 

4. Have Green tea at least twice a day.

5. Eat Almonds

6. Exercise regularly 

7. Intake of loads of fiber, protein and vitamins 

8. Keep hydrated 

9. Sleep at least 7-8 hours a day

10. Eat variety of vegetables, fruits and include yoghurt, in your diet. Cut down carb foods.

 MORNING ROUTINE 

 After waking up, do some exercise. It can be any kind of physical movement like- stretching, running, swimming, acrobatics, jogging, skipping etc. Atleast 20-30 minutes of morning exercise not only helps for weight loss but also increases metabolism, keeps you energy level high for the whole day, keeps blood sugar in check, sets the whole day's routine and your diet chart too.

BREAKFAST 

This is best time of the day to eat good, as post workout, you need to replenish your body for a full going day. This is best time to eat healthy. Have a fuller breakfast with full of nutrients.

PROTIEN SHAKE
Various breakfast options are available like-

1. You can eat multi-fruit smoothie

2. You can try milk & oats with dry fruits spread over it

3. You can eat egg, 2 brown-bread with honey & banana

4. You can take protein shakes too

5. Definitely you can try out dosa & any herbal drink

6. You can drink green tea/herbal infusion drink, a bowl of sprouts  & an apple

7. A bowl of mixed fruit & chapati with honey or butter

MID MORNING:

Munch on nuts, almonds, dry fruits, any one fruit, butter-milk, berries, herbal drink, green tea, coconut water, fruit juice for feeling refreshed and energetic. Even you can try vegetable juice like carrot juice, beet-root juice, tomato juice etc.

LUNCH TIME:

Include loads of veggies, salad, eggs/fish/meat/panner/soyabeans, yoghurt in your diet and  consume carbs as less as possible - like 1 piece roti/1 cup rice . Add sendha namak or rock salt instead of normal salt in your every dish.

VEGGIES

EVENING  SCHEDULE:

1. Brisk walking (10-20 minutes)

2. You can have boiled chickpeas/chana (lemon juice, onion, coriander leaves black-pepper and rock-salt spread over it), fruit salad, toast with butter, light veg drink, light shake, fruit juice or light fruit smoothie 

BEETROOT JUICE

 NIGHT TIME:

Don't eat late at night. Eat easy digestible food. 

SUPPER:

Try a glass of milk. You can drink by mixing honey. Its healthy, a remedy to sleep faster. People with digestive issues should drink cold milk before bed time.

SLEEPING SCHEDULE :

Quality sleeping is important because it helps in developing strength, endurance and keeps you more energetic and athletic ready. So Sleeping at-least 7-8 hours a day is crucial for more productive day.
